The Portacapture X8 offers preset level adjustment to achieve wide dynamic range using its premium dual AD converters, and 32-bit floating point recording technology. The result is content with uncompromising audio quality, even with low-level recordings. Audio data can be further edited and augmented without deteriorating the signal-to-noise (S/N) ratio. In addition, the internal normalization function allows you to automatically align the level of the 2-mix file after recording. Using driverless plug-and-go functionality, the Portacapture X8 can be used as a compact mixer with built-in microphones for live streaming via OBS or similar platforms. It also offers direct recording of video narration and dialogue directly to DAWs and editing software. The Portacapture X8 streams up to 8 tracks (6 inputs and 2 mix) via USB. By supporting the USB Type-C power delivery standard, Portacapture X8 can provide phantom power to each external microphone at the same time using USB bus power. For video conferences or audio conferences, use Portacapture X8 as your USB microphones and even record audio simultaneously. In addition, Portacapture X8 supports 32-bit floating mode USB streaming (from version 1.30), allowing recording into the DAW with a wider dynamic range, higher resolution and audio quality, and editing capabilities.
