The Shure BETA?91A is designed for use with kick drums, as well as other traditional?low-frequency applications including piano.?Featuring an updated microphone capsule, integrated preamplifier, and XLR connection, Beta 91A offers a strong low-frequency response and is specifically tailored for bass frequency applications. The Beta 91A combines superior attack and punch for studio-quality sound, even at extremely high sound pressure levels (SPL).
Kick drum microphone provides a strong low-end response and maximum gain-before-feedback due to its half-cardioid polar pattern. It features a two-position contour switch to maximize attack and clarity and a low-profile design.
The main use of the BETA 91A is for the kick drum. It can also be used in low-frequency applications, such as the piano.
The BETA 91A is a semi-cardioid condenser boundary mic. It offers a good bass response ideal for low frequency applications and for studio-quality punchy and punchy attack, even at very high sound pressure levels (SPL).
The BETA 91A has a new and improved mic capsule. This new capsule produces a more natural treble frequency response than the BETA 91.
The BETA 52A is a supercardioid mic also suitable for the kick drum. Even more bass can be achieved with the BETA 52A.
